It was a great night at the Kingston Hawks clubrooms on Friday night with Jarryd ‘Roughy’ Roughead providing great entertainment for the large crowd gathered for the Club 200 season launch including, state member for Mordialloc, Tim Richardson and City of Kingston Councillors, Ron Brownlees and Geoff Gledhill.

MC, Des Dowling from the ‘Funny Guys’, got Roughy to take us through his young days at the Hawks, premiership success, his cancer battle over the past few years and onto becoming captain of his club in 2017. His strong relationship and respect for his coach Alistair Clarkson was particularly interesting to hear about.

We also introduced new president Tony Jenkins and coach Jason Bristow and welcomed returning major sponsors, Bendigo Bank and Buxton Real Estate Mentone and announced that Arden Homes has joined on as well as a major sponsor for season 2017.

Thanks to all on the committee and those that assisted to create such a great event which all who attended thoroughly enjoyed.
